The Big Bang, Science and Creation


​Maybe the science will eventually get it right.   For decades we have had scientists (Hawking, Dawkins, others) tell us that there's no God since science explains everything.   Hmmm.  

Today, Cosmologists are re-thinking the issues.  Per the Big Bang theory, the universe started out as a ball of energy, maybe 2B degrees+, all energy and no matter.  Over millions of years, the Universe cooled as it expanded, enabling sub-atomic particles to form, building atoms of Hydrogen and Helium.   As these atoms combined into larger masses, the first star formations began, about 400 Million years after the Big Bang. 

A thousand years ago, Thomas Aquinas posited the five proofs of God.  One is the Prime Mover.   If something has a beginning, or is in motion, then something else explains so.  We call it God.  A second proof is Intelligent Design.   At all levels from sub-atomic particles to the Universe, we find order, "evidence" of design compared to the chaos that would be more likely.  And we also find an incredible world of nanotechnology, coding of DNA and RNA of the genes that support life in all forms.  And the source of the design we call God.

Many of us are familiar with the description of creation in the book of Genesis.  Most Cosmologists would not disagree with the process laid out in Genesis, would change the word "day" to epoch or era.  So somehow the only people in antiquity who got the creation story right are the Israelis    The great discoveries of the past century point to an exquisite design of life and the universe which support the premise of an intelligent creator behind it all.   We call it God.
