DEEP STATE IN ACTION:
RUSSIA GATE
The FBI, a key component of the deep state, poses a significant threat to American freedom due to its politicized leadership and surveillance capabilities. The FBI, Hillary Clinton campaign, fake news media and elected Democrats orchestrated an illegal disinformation campaign against Trump.
In 2016 the house permanent Select Committee on intelligence began investigating the FBI activity now dubbed as Russia Gate. It started with the FISA act application used by the FBI to surveil Carter Page, an aide on Trump's campaign team. The investigation revealed that much of the FBI’s work was based on a dossier filled with false claims about Trump from British former MI 6 agent turned FBI source Christopher Steele. He was employed by Fusion GPS, an American firm paid millions by Clinton's campaign and the DNC for the dossier. This revelation linked the Russian collusion hoax directly to Clinton's campaign and DNC indicating it was nothing more than a political hit job.
Under investigation, all FBI officials (Comey, McCabe, others) denied seeing any concrete evidence of collusion. The Russia Collusion narrative was a Democrat funded crime, enabled by the Justice department and FBI’S lack of fairness. Without the Steele dossier, the FISA warrant would not have been granted.
Another perpetrator is Gina Haspel, CIA Officer and later Director. She prevented the release of about 40% of Russia Gate documents, protecting Deep State operators from accountability.
The Robert Mueller investigation was a continuation of the politically motivated attack. Comey leaked classified information to get Mueller appointed as special counsel, another example of corruption within the FBI.
To address these issues we need to modify the Justice Manual which is the guidebook that all federal prosecutors must follow to establish equal prosecutorial standards. We also need to hold government officials accountable for crimes, prosecute leakers, announce investigations into public figures immediately unless operational accessibility dictates otherwise, and reduce trials prosecuted within Washington DC due to its liberal bias. While there is corruption within federal bureaucracy, it is essential not to destroy federal law enforcement but to reform it to prevent abuse for corrupt ends.
Per a book review by the WSJ: “In Government Gangsters, Kash Patel—a former top official in the White House, the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and the Department of Justice—pulls back the curtain on the Deep State, revealing the major players and tactics within the permanent government bureaucracy, which has spent decades stripping power away from the American people and their elected leaders. Based on his firsthand knowledge, Patel reveals how we can defeat the Deep State, reassert self-government, and restore our democracy.”
Let’s begin with a definition of the Deep State: a “Network of powerful individuals within government and society who manipulate national policy without democratic oversight.”
The deep state is not just a conspiracy theory but a real threat to democracy. It's made-up of high-ranking officials within government agencies such as the FBI and Defense Department who prioritize personal and political gain over national security. An unelected bureaucracy poses a significant threat to self-governance in America as it undermines elected officials’ authority and manipulates public knowledge for its own ends.
The Obama administration's Justice Department and FBI were politically motivated and corrupt. They selectively prosecuted terrorists involved in the 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans and ignored evidence against others. Big names in Washington including Attorney General Eric Holder and FBI director James Comey were nothing more than political gangsters and hypocrites. Within a few years Comey would recommend no charges be brought against presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for her mishandling of classified information on her private e-mail servers.
Senior leadership within the federal bureaucracy makes decisions based on political considerations rather than justice. In the case of Benghazi, the Obama administration, the FBI and the Justice Department wanted to seem tough on terrorism, so they kept minimal prosecutions open. In an attempt to keep political power they threw out justice and terrorists went free. A high-profile court case examining all the details of the Benghazi disaster would have hindered Clinton's political prospects, so the administration and their FBI friends fought it all back.
A politicized Justice Department leads to selective prosecutions. For example, in 2021 the department charged former trump adviser Stephen Bannon with criminal contempt of Congress for refusing to go along with the Democrat sham January 6th committee. Meanwhile the department refuses to bring charges against President Joe Biden’s son Hunter despite his well-documented influence peddling with nefarious foreign governments, not to mention this possession of drugs and guns. The department targets law-abiding citizens who disagree with their policies.
